Dextrose
MERISWEET 200 is our animal feed-grade dextrose, a crystallised form of glucose. It is highly concentrated, pure and easy to digest, with a sweet flavour, so is particularly recommended for use in pet food, pig feed, and calf-milk replacers.
Starch
Our animal feed-grade starch MERIGEL 100 is a pregelatinised maize starch suitable for many animal feed applications as an energy source and binder.
Glucose syrups
Liquid glucose can be added to animal feed as an excellent source of energy. It is highly concentrated, pure and easy to digest, with a sweet flavour.
Natural Carcao Feed
Carob is the fruit of the natural strain of carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua), a member of the legume family, and is native to the Mediterranean region. The carob fruit is a pod sized of 10 to 20 cm long and 2 to 4 cm large. Natural Carcao Feed is derived from the pulp of pods after extraction of the seeds.
Carcao Feed (dehydrated carob pulp) is an animal feed and pet food ingredient with excellent palatability. It can be used as a cocoa replacer. It is made of dehydrated and powdered carob pulp and can act like an intestinal bioregulator with anti-diarrheic properties.
Carcao Feed is a healthy choice: it’s rich in fibre (approximately 35%, mostly insoluble), in natural sugars (sucrose, fructose and glucose), potassium and has anti-oxidative properties (polyphenols). Natural Carcao Feed is also rich in calcium (350 to 500 mg/100g), but does not contain caffeine or theobromine, which are harmful to dogs.
